This includes a parent / carer meeting (including relevant assessments / questionnaires), a school visit to complete a classroom observation / meeting with your child’s teacher, and a written report. This report may be useful if you are seeking funding under the NDIS scheme, and you require a professional’s assessment (please note this is not something that is always required, and we recommend you contact the NDIS for information if you are not sure what you need). This assessment may also be useful if you are seeking to gain a deeper understanding of your child’s needs and current functioning, as well as some strategies / recommendations to get started with at home / school to support your child to build their confidence and independence.
Funding reports - Reports are sometimes required to support an application for NDIS funding or Disability Inclusion funding in your child’s school. Please contact us for a fee for the report to suit your individual needs - the fee varies depending on the complexity of the report. Report writing is charged at the standard therapy rate for ongoing sessions ($193.99 per hour). Reports without an assessment are only available for current clients of Happy Kids Occupational Therapy.
Travel fees may apply in addition to therapy and assessment fees - this will always be made transparent before commencing services. Travel fees vary depending on your location. Travel fees are charged at half of the hourly therapy fee, in line with the most recent NDIS price guidelines.
